Manufacturing Engineer

Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the development of a pilot automated assembly line for HCPV module assembly. This individual will be the key technical resource and driver in establishing and troubleshooting the assembly line from design through the debug stage. Responsible for training new engineering and process technicians. The line will include SMT technologies, robotic and automation technologies and QA testing for solar cells and modules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead automation engineering efforts (both in-house and vendor/contractors)
- Specify station criteria
- Design or lead design of material handling and fixtures
- Work with vendors for a robust implementation
- Train new staff
- Improve process yields

Education, Competencies and Qualifications
- BS or MS in relevant engineering field such as Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical.
- At least 4-5 years experience with automating assembly processes
- Experience with quality methodologies such as SPC, DOE
- Basic understanding of photovoltaics
- Proficient in MS Office Applications

Preferences
- At least 2 years experience with solar module manufacturing
- Experience with ISO 9000 standards
- US Citizenship
